MARKETING

MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN (FALL 2025) Why Join Lettuce Hope? You’ll gain hands-on experience building a nonprofit brand from the ground up. From Instagram campaigns to donor storytelling, this role puts you behind the scenes of real mission-driven marketing. Overview: You’ll help shape Lettuce Hope’s digital presence through content creation, campaign planning, and social media strategy. You’ll work directly with the founder and be a key part of how we share our mission with the world. Responsibilities: - Draft and schedule 2–3 posts weekly - Write captions and design graphics using Canva - Build out post themes, quotes, and highlights - Track performance metrics and engagement - Collaborate with other teams to showcase real-time updates Work Commitment & Compensation: - Time: 5–12 hours/week - Format: Fully remote, with optional in-person shoots or content support at events - Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. You’ll build portfolio-ready content, gain exposure in real campaigns, receive personal mentorship, and earn high-quality references. Requirements: - Passion for storytelling and design - Familiarity with Instagram and LinkedIn - Canva or content design experience - Creativity, consistency, and a clear aesthetic sense - Professionalism when representing the foundation

MANAGEMENT

MANAGEMENT INTERN (FALL 2025) Why Join Lettuce Hope? As a Management Intern, you'll help run the internal systems of the entire internship program. From keeping teams on schedule to managing documentation and supporting the founder directly, this role gives you hands-on experience in administrative operations and real-world project oversight — the kind of work that prepares you for leadership positions in any field. Overview: The Management Intern ensures that all teams stay organized, on task, and properly documented. You’ll be responsible for tracking progress, coordinating meetings, updating task boards, and helping implement internal accountability systems. You’ll also assist in behind-the-scenes planning and help lead internal communication across departments. Responsibilities: - Monitor task completion across all intern departments - Maintain and update Trello board assignments and progress - Track weekly intern submissions and report to the founder - Help coordinate Zoom meeting times, agendas, and follow-ups - Organize Google Drive folders and ensure documentation standards - Support internal scheduling, reminders, and communication Work Commitment & Compensation: - Time: 5–12 hours/week - Format: Remote, with possible optional in-person support at events or meetings - Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Interns in this role receive high-level administrative experience, direct mentorship from the founder, and strong recommendation support for future roles in management, startups, or nonprofit leadership. Requirements: - Excellent organization and time management - Confidence with Google Drive and Trello - Clear communication and leadership potential - Ability to follow up and keep others on track - Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented

PERSONAL ASSISTANT INTERN (FALL 2025) Why Join Lettuce Hope? As the Personal Assistant Intern to the founder of Lettuce Hope, you’ll play a unique and high-trust role at the center of everything we’re building. This is not a generic admin internship — it’s a hands-on opportunity to work closely with the executive behind the foundation and gain direct exposure to leadership, strategy, and the everyday engine of a fast-growing nonprofit. You’ll help organize the founder’s schedule, track tasks and communications, and keep key operations running smoothly in the background. Overview: This position is designed for someone exceptionally organized, professional, and proactive. You’ll be the central point of support for the founder — not a manager of others, but the person making sure the founder stays on top of critical follow-ups, emails, meetings, and deadlines. You’ll also play a part in preparing for government outreach, public appearances, and internal team meetings. You’ll leave with sharp skills in executive support, calendar coordination, inbox management, and leadership-level communication. Responsibilities: - Coordinate and maintain the founder’s weekly calendar - Draft and manage reminders, task lists, and daily to-dos - Organize and label files, folders, and shared materials in Google Drive - Review and flag important emails or DMs; draft responses as needed - Maintain a running “Founder Briefing Doc” of key updates and priorities - Prepare talking points or documents for donor meetings or Zoom calls - Support follow-up tracking for internal departments and external contacts - Handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality Work Commitment & Compensation: - Time: 5–12 hours/week - Format: Primarily remote, with optional in-person support for events or meetings in Los Angeles - Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Interns receive real-world experience in high-level operations, direct mentorship from the founder, and strong recommendation support for roles in leadership, communication, or nonprofit development. Requirements: - Organized, consistent, and mature in handling responsibilities - Familiarity with Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar - Strong written English; ability to match professional tone - Willing to take initiative and follow up on loose ends - Comfortable communicating with the founder throughout the week via text, Slack, or email - Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential material

PR & OUTREACH

GOVERNMENT OUTREACH & STRATEGY INTERN (FALL 2025) Why Join Lettuce Hope? At Lettuce Hope, you’ll do more than intern — you’ll help move real policy and connect directly with state leaders. This is a rare opportunity to engage with government processes and build connections that matter. Overview: You’ll be responsible for identifying and contacting government officials, drafting communications, and helping our founder secure meetings with state representatives. Your work will directly impact our goal of expanding access to addiction recovery resources in California. Responsibilities: - Research contact information for local, state, and federal officials - Draft outreach emails and follow-ups - Maintain a log of communications and updates - Help prepare talking points and background research for meetings - Coordinate schedules and support Zoom call prep Work Commitment & Compensation: - Time: 5–12 hours/week - Format: Remote, with optional in-person events if available - Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. In return, interns gain access to political networks, letters of recommendation, resume-building experience, and high-level nonprofit strategy. Requirements: - Strong writing and communication skills - Attention to detail and organization - Interest in politics, public health, or advocacy - Google Drive proficiency - Self-driven and reliable

EVENTS & FUNDRAISING INTERN (FALL 2025) Why Join Lettuce Hope? If you want to break into nonprofit development, fundraising, or luxury philanthropy, this is the kind of role that gets you there. You’ll help connect our mission to the donors and social spaces that fund real change. Overview: This role involves identifying charity events, social galas, and donor opportunities across California. You’ll help Lettuce Hope gain visibility at the right tables, support our fundraising efforts, and help us network into higher-impact spaces. Responsibilities: - Research upcoming fundraising events in LA and California - Find sponsorship and nonprofit inclusion opportunities - Draft event outreach emails - Build event and donor tracking databases - Coordinate with founder on logistics and prep for in-person functions Work Commitment & Compensation: - Time: 5–12 hours/week - Format: Primarily remote, with optional in-person event support when scheduled - Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Interns receive access to elite donor and nonprofit networks, hands-on development experience, and future recommendation opportunities.
